GENERAL QUESTIONS

How much does delivery cost and how long does it take?

We hold a good quantity of the JetBlack Safety range in stock in our Perth warehouse.

If items are in stock, orders can be dispatched immediately and arrive with you within 2-5 working days. We can arrange delivery for you (we can include freight with our quote), or you can make your own pick-up arrangements.

Freight charges vary depending on the destination but we can provide a reasonable quote for freight when requested.

What power requirements do the booths / stations have?

JetBlack Safety systems run on electricity only; no compressed air is needed.

  • Stations (wall mounted and portable) – 240/1/50

    • Wall mounted stations need to be hard-wired to an electricity supply by qualified personnel

    • Portable units are ‘plug and play’ (requires minimal setup and no specialist installation)

  • Booths – 240/1/50 or 415/3/50

    • Booths need to be hard-wired to an electricity supply by qualified personnel

Is any assembly required for the JetBlack Safety booths/stations?

  • Stations

    • Wall mounted stations need to be hard-wired to an electricity supply by qualified personnel.

    • A rain cover may need to be installed (if unit is exposed to the elements)

    • Both stations simply need the ‘OSHA’ guard attached to the main nozzle before operating (supplied)

    • The portable unit is ‘plug and play’ (requires minimal setup and no specialist installation)

  • Booths

    • Some assembly is required – filters installed, extractor attached, rain cover installed (if applicable). An easy-to-follow video guide to unpacking a booth is available

    • Installation, commissioning, and electrical installation should only be performed by trained service personnel

Are other voltages available on the stations?

The wall mounted and portable stations are sold as 240/1/50. However, if you do have a requirement for a different voltage, due to your country or because of a particular application, please ask us - we may be able to accommodate you through the manufacturer or recommended solutions.

What space requirements do the JetBlack Safety booths/stations require?

  • Stations

    • JetBlack Safety stations can be located near entry/exit points for convenience

    • Caution: removal of debris and contaminants by the JetBlack Safety Cleaning Station will produce airborne dust, which could present an inhalation risk to the user and other workers in close proximity. We recommend that prior to installation, consideration be given to the location of this station and implementing adequate engineering controls to minimise dust build up and regeneration.
The JetBlack Safety Cleaning Station SHOULD NOT be used with hazardous materials, as the airstream could move the hazardous materials to other areas (exposure to hazardous dust should be adequately controlled in line with the WHS standards for your industry)

  • Booths

    • The booth’s footprint is W1810mm x L1554mm (with extractor)

    • You will need to allow for worker movement between the booth’s one or two doors

Can we trial the products?

If you would like to try out the JetBlack Safety low pressure, high-velocity blower-driven air, we recommend you purchase a station, as the same technology is used in the booths.

In our experience, the majority of our customers who purchase their first JetBlack Safety unit are very satisfied. Many of our customers purchase more units or move up to booths depending on their requirements, and continue to advocate the use of JetBlack Safety cleaning systems as they change roles and employers.

We also have both the stations and booths available for a working demonstration in our Perth warehouse, and you can view many demonstration videos on our Youtube channel. Contact us if you'd like to organise a demonstration.

Do you hire out the booths?

Due to the size and cost of each JetBlack Safety booth, and packing requirements for transportation, we do not have a “for hire” service.

How often do we need to change the filters?

Cleaning stations
The stations require one puck filter per unit - each JetBlack Safety cleaning station arrives with a puck filter packed inside. Under normal operating conditions (not including extreme dusty environments and/or high daily use), the only maintenance the cleaning station requires is regular checks on the puck filter (recommended monthly) , and then the puck filter should be replaced every 3-4 months.

Cleaning booths
The booths require 4 filters to operate effectively - two in the extractor and two on the booth itself - one of each is supplied with the booth. Under normal operating conditions (not including extreme dusty environments and/or high daily use), filters should be checked monthly and changed every 3-4 months, with the exception of the main HEPA filter in the extractor (which should be changed every 12 months). See our video for a guide to JetBlack Safety booth filter maintenance.

What replacement parts are available for the JetBlack Safety cleaning station?

Dynamic Engineering Australia stocks the full range of replacement parts for the JetBlack Safety cleaning station (including filters), which can be quickly and easily dispatched from our Perth warehouse, including:

  • replacement hoses

  • replacement nozzles and handpieces

  • replacement motors

  • other parts if required

What replacement parts are available for the JetBlack Safety cleaning booth?

Dynamic Engineering Australia stocks the full range of replacement parts for the JetBlack Safety cleaning booth, which can be quickly and easily dispatched from our Perth warehouse, including:

  • filters

  • booth parts

  • other parts if required

A parts list (filters) for the current booth model (BH05 and BH02 - C-Range) is available below.

Does a JetBlack Safety unit blow more dangerous particles around in the air?

The JetBlack Safety Personnel Cleaning Booth removes, extracts and collects dust and debris from employees’ dirty work clothes in a containment booth, and is local exhaust ventilation (LEV) compliant (UK). Inside the booth, a high volume of filtered air is delivered at low pressure which dislodges dust and fibres from the worker’s clothes. These are then drawn down and away from the booth occupant through a grille floor, by a vacuum effect created by an external blower. All removed materials are either collected in an H14 HEPA extractor, or can be vented directly into the workplace’s existing exhaust system.

The wall-mounted and portable personnel cleaning stations are not contained within a booth, and therefore will produce airborne dust during the removal of debris and contaminants. It is recommended users wear appropriate eye, ear and respiratory protection at all times whilst operating a JetBlack Safety Cleaning Station. It is also recommended that users implement suitable and adequate engineering controls for the release for hazardous airborne dust, and consider appropriate positioning of the cleaning station prior to use/installation.

Do JetBlack Safety products come with HEPA filters?

HEPA is an acronym for a “High Efficiency Particulate Air” filter. HEPA is a standard of filtration, not a product or material - the standards require that a very high percentage (99.97%) of all particulate of a certain size (sub-micron) is trapped within a filter to provide better air quality.

The two most common HEPA standards are H13 and H14:

  • H13 – requires that the air filter must remove from the air that passes through it, 99.95% (Europe) or 99.97% (ASME) of particles that have a size greater than or equal to 0.3 sub-micron

  • H14 – requires that the air filter must remove from the air that passes through it, 99.995% of particulates greater than or equal to 0.3 sub-microns

The JetBlack Safety cleaning booths come standard with HEPA (H14) filtration in their extractors, and optional HEPA puck filters can be used on the booth itself.

The cleaning stations are not a contained extraction solution, and therefor HEPA filtration is not recommended for these units.

Do the JetBlack Safety products have any certifications?

OSHA standards (US)

The JetBlack Safety cleaning stations meet OSHA standards for de-dusting and clean-down operations:

  • OSHA standard for output pressure:

    • Hand and portable powered tools and equipment, general (29CFR Part 1910.242 (b))

    • Reduction of Air Pressure below 30PSI for cleaning purposes (OSHA Instruction STD 01 - 13 - 001)

  • OSHA standard for noise:

    • The JetBlack Safety cleaning station's operating noise level is below 78dB(A) (please note – the manufacturer still recommends that ear protection is worn when operating a cleaning station)

  • OSHA standard for chip guarding:

    • Hand and portable powered tools and equipment, general (29CFR Part 1910.242 (b))

    • Reduction of Air Pressure below 30PSI for cleaning purposes (OSHA Instruction STD 01 - 13 - 001)
